TIME’S UP IN TENERIFE – THE FULL LOW DOWN FROM THE BEST WINTER TRAINING

My time on Tenerife is up and what an amazing winter we have had!

Whilst we have had a shortage of “True Tenerife” conditions, it’s safe to say I’ve benefited a lot from being out here this winter. It’s the first time I’ve ever been able to fully dedicate a solid block of time to training and the difference it makes it unmatched. The limits we are pushing on the foils has reached a whole new level – going in conditions we never previously thought possible and even starting to get comfortable in these conditions! It’s definitely going to be an interesting season ahead.

GBR GIRLS TRAINING HARD

Speaking of the season, here’s how it’s looking right now. There’s a lot still to be confirmed which certainly makes it difficult to plan out the summer but if the last two years have taught us anything then it will all work out in the end! Besides the international competitions, I will try to fit in as many UK comps as possible where it’s feasible to do so.

WHAT’S NEXT?

To continue preparing for the season, the next location is Lake Garda in Italy for some pizza, ice cream and good coffee… I mean for some quality foil training and the final equipment testing! We’ve trained a lot in high winds and wavey conditions over the last months, so it’s time for some lighter winds and flatter water to make sure I’m fast in all conditions and ready for whatever the season throws at us. Before I get to Garda though, its time to have a short break and head home for 10 days to see my family and reset before going 100% again!
