I'm Sarah Jackson, a passionate British windsurfer hailing from the North-West of England. My journey is a fusion of adrenaline-fueled racing, environmental advocacy, and unwavering determination.
As a two-time vice world champion, I'm on a relentless pursuit of the ultimate title. The wind and I have a unique connection, and I've tasted victory, securing my first PWA race win in 2021.
My story is an adventurous tapestry woven with diverse threads. Starting out on a family holiday at the age of 7, windsurfing ignited a fire in me that still burns bright. I ventured into junior racing, briefly veered into hockey where I captained the England U17 Team, and even temporarily traded the waves for academia, graduating with first-class honors from the University of Bath.
But my heart yearned for the waves, and destiny intervened. I took the ambitious step and went all in, embracing the exhilarating world of slalom racing. My van has become my constant companion, carrying me across Europe in pursuit of wind, waves, and dreams.
Beyond the waves, my purpose deepened. The ocean is my playground, and my devotion to its preservation is unwavering. Armed with a burning passion, I wage war on ocean pollution, fighting single-use plastic and sewage contamination. My van-dwelling existence aligns with this cause, reminding me daily of the simplicity and beauty we strive to protect.
